Filmmaker and proud father of two, Karan Johar is turning 48, today. The director will be celebrating his birthday at home this year, with his mother Hiroo Johar and kids Roohi and Yash Johar, amid the nationwide lockdown.

Currently, Karan has been winning the internet with the adorable Instagram series called, ‘Lockdown With The Johars’. Fans can’t seem to have enough of his adorable banter with the kids. Apart from being candid, Karan in good spirit at times, can also be seen ridiculing himself on the social media platform.

While showing off his salt and pepper look during the lockdown, Karan said the picture should be considered as his submission to all casting directors for acting roles as a father. He also took the time to remind everyone of his past acting endeavours. In the caption, he wrote, “I know my acting stint was scarier than the current virus but there is no harm in hoping for a second chance!”

Karan will be returning as a director with the historic drama, Takht. Anil Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar, Janhvi Kapoor and others. The film will follow the story of Mughal emperor Shahjahan and the family’s fight for the Mughal throne. The film earlier was scheduled to release on December 24, 2021.
